Job Summary

Accounting Senior Manager

Are you a confident accounting leader who enjoys bringing clarity accuracy and insighttocomplex financial operations As the Accounting Senior Manager supporting the Evernorth Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) you will lead critical general ledger activities guide a talented team and partner across the business to delivertimelyaccuratefinancial results. This role is ideal for a growthminded leader who balances handsonexpertisewith strategic thinking and thrives in a collaborative fastmoving environment.

Responsibilities

Lead and oversee complex general ledger activities to ensure the accuracy completeness and integrity of financial results for the Evernorth GPO.

Guide and develop a team of approximately three accounting professionals fosteringstrong performance accountability and professional growth.

Own monthend close activities including journal entries account analysis reconciliations and variance explanations.

Review and analyze financial accruals manufacturer rebates receivables and payables to support informed business decisions.

Partner with business and finance leaders to present financial results explain variances and support key enterprise initiatives.

Support and influence companywide rebate initiatives through deep system knowledge analysis and crossfunctional collaboration.

Identifyopportunities to improve processes and controls including the adoption of automation and more efficient workflows.

Provide leadership and support for external audits and internal control processes including SOX compliance activities.

Balance longterm strategic projects with daytoday operational priorities while meeting tight deadlines.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting and/or finance roles.

Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Demonstratedexperience with general ledger accounting account reconciliations and financial analysis.

Proven ability to lead complex accounting processes whilemaintainingaccuracy and attention to detail.

Strong problemsolving and analytical skills with the ability to research and resolve issues across functions.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills including presenting to senior leaders and business partners.

Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills with the ability to learn new systems and tools quickly.

Ability to work under pressure manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines.

Preferred

Bachelors degree or equivalent practical experience in Accounting Finance ora relatedfield.

Prior experience leading mentoring or developing an accounting team.

Experience supporting audits SOX controls or financial compliance activities.

Experience working in a matrixed environment with crossfunctional stakeholders.

Flexibility to adjust work schedules to support close cycles and critical project timelines.
