Location: Dallas TX (Preferred) Houston TX Austin TX
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (Minimum 3 days in-office or at client sites effective March 2026)
Salary Range: $197800 $215000 / yr
Travel: Ability to travel as needed to support client engagements.

The Role
As the Partnership Tax Senior Manager you will be a cornerstone of the tax leadership team driving the production of primary and secondary reviews for highly complex partnership tax returns. You will serve as a strategic consultant providing innovative tax planning and high-value solutions to a diverse client base across multiple industries.
This is an actionable leadership role. We are looking for a professional who can step in quickly master a short ramp-up period (36 months) and immediately begin guiding complex engagements and mentoring the next generation of tax talent.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Leadership: Lead the team in evaluating tax aspects of partnership agreements and managing IRC 704(b) accounts.
- Project Oversight: Plan execute and complete tax projects for clients in industries including Technology Financial Services Manufacturing and Hospitality.
- Client Strategy: Market design and implement sophisticated tax-planning strategies while managing engagement budgets and deadlines.
- Business Development: Maintain and expand existing client relationships while actively leading proposal development and pursuit activities for new business.
- Mentorship & Growth: Recruit train and mentor staff assessing performance to foster professional development and team engagement.
- Regulatory Liaison: Research complex Sub-chapter K matters and manage formal inquiries from the IRS and other tax authorities.
Technical Skills & Qualifications
Must-Haves:
- Certification: Active CPA (Must be licensed in Texas or have reciprocity to TX).
- Experience: Minimum 10 years of progressive tax compliance and/or consulting experience in public accounting (or a mix of industry and public accounting).
- Sub-chapter K Mastery: Excellent technical skills in partnership returns joint ventures and non-corporate entity taxation with proficiency in US GAAP.
- Education: Bachelors degree in Accounting.
- Leadership: Proven ability to manage multiple engagements and competing priorities in a fast-paced results-based environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience with a Big 4 or Top 15 firm.
- Expertise in partnership structuring entity formation and Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A).
- Experience working with clients in the $50M to $1B revenue range.
- Stability in career history (no job hopping).
