Role Purpose
The Logistics Manager will be responsible for managing end-to-end cold-chain logistics operations ensuring safe collection storage transportation and delivery of human milk-based products to
hospitals and distributors across India while maintaining strict regulatory and quality compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Cold-Chain Management
Oversee temperature-controlled logistics from milk collection points to processing plant and onward distribution.
Ensure compliance with GMP HACCP and pharma-grade cold-chain standards.
Monitor temperature logs data loggers and deviation reports.
Implement corrective actions for cold-chain breaches.
2. Distribution & Dispatch Operations
Plan and execute timely dispatch of finished products to hospitals and distributors nationwide.
Maintain optimal inventory levels at plant and warehouse.
Coordinate with third-party logistics (3PL) providers.
Ensure zero stock-out at critical hospital accounts.
3. Vendor & Transport Management
Identify and onboard reliable cold-chain logistics partners.
Negotiate freight contracts and manage cost optimization.
Evaluate transporter performance (TAT temperature compliance damage rates).
4. Inventory & Warehouse Management
Manage cold storage facility and warehouse hygiene standards.
Ensure FEFO/FIFO compliance.
Conduct periodic stock audits and reconciliation.
Maintain complete traceability documentation.
5. Regulatory & Documentation Compliance
Maintain shipment documentation as per internal QA requirements.
Coordinate with QA/QC for dispatch release approvals.
Handle audit requirements related to logistics and storage.
6. Performance & Reporting
Track KPIs including:
On-Time-In-Full (OTIF)
Cold-chain compliance percentage
Logistics cost per unit
Inventory turnover ratio
Damage and wastage levels
Present logistics performance in management review meetings.
