Job Title: Test Analyst/Associate

Department: Global Banking

About Business line/Function: Payments & Cash Management

Position Purpose:
The ideal candidate for this role will serve as an individual contributor Techno-functional Skillset for manual testing (primary) and Automation Testing with a focus on Functional Testing and having exposure to Automation (Java/selenium) Script design and execution. They should possess good knowledge and experience in the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) process encompassing test design and execution. Additionally they should be adept in capturing evidence in Excel writing SQL queries and collaborating with business analyst teams to derive test cases from requirement documents and use cases.

From a technical standpoint the candidate should have good knowledge in Core Java Programming including Object-Oriented Programming (OOPs) Java Collections Framework and Exception Handling. They should also be well-versed in Selenium WebDriver.

As an individual contributor and SPOC the candidate will be responsible for governing the testing process in accordance with defined guidelines maintaining thorough test documentation and ensuring accurate defect reporting.

Responsibilities

Direct Responsibilities:

• Learn Payments & Cash management Domain and gain expertise

• Design develop and execute manual test cases for Payment & Cash Management applications with a focus on SWIFT MT to MX formats Core Banking Applications Payment Engines SEPA APAC and India payments.

• Conduct thorough manual testing including functional regression and UAT testing to ensure high-quality delivery.

• Analyze and report defects and collaborate with development teams to resolve issues and ensure timely closure.

• Do feasibility study to identify automation scope. Automate using Core Java and Selenium with a focus on automating repetitive and high-risk test cases.

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts and execute automated tests to ensure efficient testing and validation.

Contributing Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including development and BA teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and knowledge sharing.

• Participate in test planning to ensure that testing is aligned with project goals and objectives.

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and procedures to ensure that testing is efficient effective and aligned with industry best practices.

• Contribute to the development of automated testing frameworks and tools to enhance automation capabilities and improve testing efficiency.

Technical & Behavioral Competencies:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve defects and issues.

• Good communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

• Basic programming skills in Core Java and experience with automation testing tools such as Selenium to automate testing and improve testing efficiency.

Specific Qualifications:

• Education Level : Bachelor of Technology ()/Bachelor of Engineering (BE)/Master of Computer Applications (MCA or related field or Bachelor Degree or equivalent

• Experience Level: 5 to 7 Years of experience
