We are looking for a Payroll Business Analyst to join our team and contribute to our mission of delivering exceptional HR transformation services to our clients. As a Payroll Business Analyst you will play a key role in implementing SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP) solutions for our clients. You will engage in transformative HR/Payroll projects across diverse sectors helping clients optimise their Payroll systems and elevate employee experiences. If you have day to day Payroll operations experience or if you have experience working on Payroll technology implementations or upgrades either on the consulting or business side and are seeking a dynamic role with variety this is the perfect opportunity for you!

This role can be performed from any of our EY offices across Aotearoa. Our roles can potentially be adjusted to work flexibly with reduced hours. Please speak with us about potential options.

Ko Tō Rourou Your key responsibilities

  • Create innovative insights for clients adapting methods and practices to fit project needs
  • Collaborate with stakeholders at all levels to gather and document business requirements ensuring alignment between HR/Payroll and technical teams.
  • Analyse and enhance HCM and Payroll systems and HR and Payroll processes to identify improvement opportunities and optimise service delivery models.
  • Support program streams including technical functional testing change management and training teams by documenting processes and creating design specifications.
  • Lead requirements gathering workshops and solution demonstrations engaging stakeholders from operational teams to C-suite executives.

Ngā Pūkenga Skills and attributes for success

  • A relevant Degree or Qualification in Business/Commerce HR HR Technology or Information Systems
  • Experience working with different HR/Payroll systems (preferably SAP SuccessFactors) and HR/Payroll processes including process review analysis and design
  • Understanding of Payroll Technology related business challenges and how to improve people and business experience

Ideally youll also have the skills and attributes below but dont worry if you dont tick all the boxes. Were interested in your aptitude attitude and willingness to learn.

  • Experience in Workforce Management projects to enhance business functionality and overall performance
  • Experience working in diverse team teams and/or project management activities on large projects
  • Consulting experience desirable including the ability to engage clients and colleagues at all levels and facilitate client discussions and workshops
  • Proven ability to manage stakeholders and relationships effectively.
