Special Education Elementary Teacher Resource

POSITION SUMMARY:

Provide daily instruction for students in accordance with Board approved curriculum.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Appropriate New Jersey Certification required: K-6 Elementary Certificate and Teacher of Students with Disabilities OR Teacher of the Handicapped
• Must have experience with students who demonstrate emotional and behavioral challenges as well as some learning differences.
• Seeking the right qualified individual who has strong teaching skills enthusiasm and dedication to teach in a self-contained classroom for Language Arts Math and Social Studies.
• Ability to maintain a positive learning environment
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Compliance with the NJ FIRST Act
• Successful Criminal History Clearance
• Proof of U.S. Citizenship or appropriate employment authorization

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

10 - Month Contract. Salary and benefits as determined by the Board of Education and any

applicable and collective negotiations agreement.

COMPENSATION

In accordance with the provisions of the BOE/FTEA collective bargaining agreement the salary range for this position in the 26/27 SY is Step 1 BA/BS ($68023) - Step 18 PhD/EdD ($99380). Compensation will be commensurate with experience and education.

ANNUAL EVALUATION: Performance is reviewed annually in accordance with NJ State lawand the provisions of the Board of Education policy on evaluations for certificated staff.

TECHNOLOGY SKILLS: Ability to be proficient in computer applications pertinent to support the position including but not limited Google Suite IEP software program and Genesis Employee Portal and Student Information System.
