Technical Sales Representative, High Tech Water Treatment

Ecolabs Nalco Water team is seeking a Technical Sales Representative to join its industry leading sales team. Youll be responsible for revenue and profit growth of programs and services in targeted accounts. Using a consultative sales approach youll build relationships with existing customers by executing system assurance programs that meet their key business needs. With strong account leadership youll also convert strategic competitive accounts and sell new technologies to current customers.

What You Will Do:
- Generate and execute sales plans and strategies to close new opportunities within existing customer base and in major competitively-held accounts to meet defined territory profit increase goals.
- Work closely with large strategic current and prospective customers to understand business needs and recommend continuous improvement and innovation plans that will maintain and grow sales within assigned territory
- Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders within current and prospective customers including plant or facility executives
- Engage in problem solving by performing system analysis interpreting data and providing written recommendations to ensure customer operations are performing at optimal levels
- Demonstrate the ability to stabilize jeopardy business in large strategic accounts
Territory/Location Information:
- This position is based in Montreal QC or close surrounding area
- Territory will support Montreal to Toronto Quebec as well as Buffalo NY
- Targeted accounts are within the Global High Tech industry including data centres and microelectronics
- 10% overnight travel required

Training programs are held in the field and at Ecolabs Nalco Water Headquarters in Naperville IL; travel is arranged and paid for by Nalco Water. Based on your skill level and experience topics covered may include technology product service business and industry acumen direct coaching and mentoring sales management and leadership classroom training and certifications.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree
- Five years of technical sales or field sales support experience
- Bilingual French/English due to the following reasons: the role posted will be supporting customers who are anglophone and in provinces outside of Quebec
- Possess valid drivers license and acceptable motor vehicle record
- Able to travel to the US for training meetings and customer support
- Immigration sponsorship is not available for this role
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in engineering (chemical mechanical industrial) or life sciences (biology chemistry etc.)
- Water treatment or specialty chemical industry experience
- Working knowledge of boilers cooling towers and wastewater treatment systems
Annual Compensation Range:
This position has base salary and is eligible for incentive compensation based on performance per plan terms. Eligibility for incentive compensation will commence upon successful completion of training. Total expected compensation is in the range of $92700 - 115900
Ecolab in good faith anticipates it will pay within the posted range. Many factors are taken into consideration when determining the compensation for a potential new employee such as education training experience work location travel (if required) etc.
