Systems Operations Specialist

Key Responsibilities

• Lead technical operations and application support for Nasdaqs global services managing incidents and ensuring 24/7 system reliability.
• Design plan and deploy changes to existing systems implementing solutions that enhance testing deployment and operational processes.
• Manage and resolve incidents for internal and external customers ensuring rapid response and effective problem-solving.
• Maintain operational documentation and procedures supporting seamless second-line operations and knowledge transfer.
• Drive automation and process improvements across CI/CD pipelines system deployments and operational workflows.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems or equivalent practical experience.
• 3 years of experience in DevOps System Administration Application Operations or related technical areas.
• Strong expertise in AWS services and cloud architecture with hands-on experience in Linux/Unix environments.
• Proven ability to design and implement CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Git/GitLab Terraform and Kubernetes (EKS/EKS-A).
• Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English with experience collaborating across global teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS certifications (e.g. Solutions Architect SysOps Administrator).
• Experience with scripting and automation to optimize operational efficiency.
• Familiarity with 24/7 operations in capital markets fintech or regulated industries.

This position will be located in Toronto and offers the opportunity for a hybrid work environment at least 3 days a week in-office subject to change providing flexibility and accessibility for qualified candidates.
