Position Summary:
The Indirect Procurement Manager will lead a team responsible for managing company-wide indirect spend including categories such as capital projects travel marketing professional services MRO and facilities. This role will include developing and executing sourcing strategies partnering with internal stakeholders to align business needs with procurement goals and identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvement.
This position will report to the Senior Procurement Manager and manage a team of buyers. Responsibilities will include balancing strategic planning with day-to-day sourcing activities improving supplier performance ensuring policy compliance and supporting cross-functional initiatives across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the development and execution of sourcing strategies for all indirect spend categories.
Manage and mentor a team of sourcing professionals; set goals provide coaching and drive performance.
Partner cross-functionally with business units to understand needs align on sourcing initiatives and ensure procurement adds value beyond cost savings.
Conduct supplier market analysis RFPs negotiations and contract development.
Drive supplier consolidation and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize vendor performance and compliance.
Monitor category performance against KPIs (cost savings service level risk etc.) and report results to leadership.
Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and risk mitigation processes.
Leverage procurement systems (e.g. ERP e-sourcing tools) to streamline sourcing activities.
Support annual planning budgeting and forecasting related to indirect spend.
Develop category playbooks and sourcing frameworks for repeatable success.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Business Finance or related field (MBA or CPM/CPSM a plus)
5 years of experience in strategic sourcing or procurement
Proven track record of managing large complex sourcing initiatives across multiple indirect categories
Strong negotiation contract management and supplier relationship skills
Experience with ERP systems (e.g. Infor LN IQMS Microsoft Dynamics) and procurement tools
Analytical mindset with strong Excel and data visualization/reporting skills
Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence at all levels of the organization
Excellent communication leadership and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Experience:
2 years managing direct reports
Experience implementing or optimizing P2P tools or sourcing automation
Familiarity with sustainability and supplier diversity initiatives in sourcing
