Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) School Setting
Location: Lompoc CA
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide in-person therapy services in a school setting. The role involves working with students to screen assess and identify communication disorders that impact their academic progress. The SLP will develop and deliver direct and indirect services according to Individualized Education Plan (IEP) goals collaborating with teachers parents and para-educators to support students needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Screen assess and identify students with communication disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on IEP goals.
- Provide direct and indirect therapy services to students.
- Collaborate with teachers parents and other school staff to support students communication needs.
- Provide guidance and direction to para-educators teachers and parents on best practices for communication development.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records and progress notes.
Job Details:
- Shift: Monday to Friday 8:00 AM 4:00 PM (with 30-minute unpaid lunch).
- Weekly Hours: 37.5 billable hours.
- Contract Duration: Full academic year (exact start and end dates).
Qualifications:
- Active ASHA certification.
- California SLP License.
- CTC Credential or a Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
- Note: Candidates who are currently in the process of licensure or have started the CTC process independently will not be considered.
- CF candidates are not eligible for this position.
