Contract: Permanent 35 hours per week Mondays to Fridays 8am to 4pm 44 week-contract

Aston Education is looking for a dynamic and flexible Cover Supervisor to join this Ofsted Good 11-18 mainstream secondary school in Lewisham Southeast London.

Responsibilities include:

As a Cover Supervisor you will be covering registration and lessons for absent colleagues. The role will involve providing cover across all subjects and to oversee classes of students aged 11-16.

Your responsibilities include managing a classroom and ensuring that students remain on task with the work they have been set. You will play your part in the education of the pupils.

The role offers an invaluable opportunity to anyone wishing to pursue a career in teaching.

Experience and skills required:

• Cover Supervisor experience within a secondary school environment
• Ability to demonstrate a good classroom presence and good teacher pupil relationships
• Good organisational skills
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
• GCSE English & Maths grade C or above (or equivalent qualification)
