Job Summary
This Department of War enterprise data and analytics program delivers mission-critical capabilities that enable leaders across the Department to make faster better-informed decisions using trusted data at scale. Leidos Digital Modernization sector is seeking an experienced Journeyman UI/UX Engineer to support the delivery enhancement and adoption of enterprise data and analytics products used across multiple DoD organizations.
In this role you will work alongside government partners engineers and other industry teammates to translate operational and strategic requirements into scalable production-ready solutions. You will contribute directly to product planning execution and continuous improvementhelping ensure capabilities are delivered efficiently aligned to mission priorities and positioned for sustained success.
This position offers the opportunity to work on a high-visibility enterprise program at the intersection of data analytics and emerging AI technologies. Primary Responsibilities:
Support design and development of user interfaces and user experiences for WDP applications and services.
Assist in creating wireframes mockups and prototypes to support UI/UX design efforts.
Collaborate with software engineers data engineers and product teams to implement UI/UX designs into applications.
Support development of front-end components using modern frameworks (e.g. React Angular or similar).
Assist in conducting user research usability testing and feedback analysis to improve user experience.
Support implementation of UI/UX standards design systems and accessibility requirements (e.g. Section 508 compliance).
Contribute to improving user workflows navigation and interaction design across applications.
Support integration of UI components into DevSecOps pipelines for deployment and testing.
Assist in troubleshooting UI issues and supporting performance optimization of front-end applications.
Maintain UI/UX documentation design artifacts and style guides.
Participate in SAFe ceremonies including sprint planning backlog refinement sprint reviews and retrospectives.
Basic Qualifications:
Active Secret clearance.
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Human-Computer Interaction Design Information Systems or related technical discipline and 48 years of relevant experience OR Masters degree in a related field and 26 years of relevant experience.
Proficiency in human-factors principles and Section 508 accessibility requirements.
Strong knowledge of DevSecOps practices and tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Experience in at least 3 of the following:
software testing and automated test pipelines.
designing and developing enterprise-grade web applications.
modern frontend frameworks (e.g. React Angular Vue or similar).
creating wireframes user flows prototypes and design systems.
conducting usability testing and incorporating user feedback into design improvements.
implementing responsive design and cross-browser compatibility standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
Active Top Secret clearance.
Experience supporting UI/UX across multi-enclave DoD environments.
Experience conducting usability testing and user research.
Familiarity with design tools (e.g. Figma Adobe XD Sketch).
Experience implementing design systems and accessibility standards (e.g. Section 508).
Experience supporting data visualization interfaces or analytics platforms.
Exposure to DevSecOps pipelines and front-end deployment processes.
Experience designing data visualization interfaces for analytics and AI-enabled applications.
Experience integrating UI components with RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
Experience with accessibility compliance (Section 508 WCAG).
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in Agile or SAFe environments.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $107900.00 - $195050.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline onlyand not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
