Job Summary

The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)in thePediatrics Specialty Clinichas duties and responsibilities related to patient care in the ambulatory clinic environment. The individual displays responsible behaviors communicates effectively to others and functions as a member of the healthcare team. The CMA functions under the direct supervision and authority of the physician when performing clinical tasks during patient care. The CMA reports to the clinic manager who is responsible for administrative supervision staff development and orientation of the CMA to the areas policies and procedures. The CMA maintains an inventory of examination/procedure room supplies assists in the organization of efficient patient flow and organizes the clinic environment to assure patient safety.

Shift:

Full Time (40 hours)

Day Shift 8:30 am - 5:00 pm

No weekends!

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Completion of anaccredited Medical Assistant training programrequired or relevant work experience leading to current certification.

Licensure/Certification:

  • Completion of CMA certification with the credentials ofRMA NCMA NRCMA CCMA or CMAArequiredprior to hire
  • ValidBLS CPRcertification required upon hire; JHH accepts AHA Red Cross and military training network

Work Experience:

  • Ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of CMA experience

Range: Minimum /hour - Maximum /hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
