Position Summary
The Lead Concession Runner is available for all events to stock and replenish concession stands.
This role will pay an hourly wage of $21.00 and is tip eligible.

About the Venue
The LA County Fair is a large annual event held at Fairplex in Pomona featuring food vendors entertainment and attractions. It is a fast-paced high-volume environment that requires strong organization and teamwork to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for guests.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for assisting with receiving and distribution control for the venue.
- Ensure a proper transfer process of products between locations including follow-up documentation.
- Assist in performing maintenance; responsible for concession and utility equipment cleaning and maintenance portable equipment burden carriers carts floors refrigeration and lighting. Ensure manifested equipment is in location.
- Conduct a walk-through of the commissary warehouse and storage areas after the completion of the day to ensure all areas are clean.
- Possess a thorough working knowledge of all existing concessions locations geographical locations equipment evacuation procedures adjacent employee and guest areas and facility access.
- Performs opening/closing responsibilities of the bar/beer stand; ensure and maintain the area is operational.
- Responsible for changing kegs / bibs / CO₂ tanks / propane tanks / repairing beer stands.
- Responsible for the initial preparation and servicing of the bar which includes restocking beer ice and CO₂; cleaning; and other duties assigned by the bar/beverage management team.
- Maintains cleanliness of the bar area beer coolers refrigeration and storage areas to comply with health code standards including sweeping mopping and sanitizing.
- Stocks and rotates all coolers and maintains cooler temperature log daily.
- Checks and assists the bartender in maintaining adequate amounts of supplies i.e. stir sticks napkins glassware etc. for both the immediate bar and beer stands.
- Take pride in personal appearance reporting to work in neat and clean clothing and maintaining well-groomed hair and personal hygiene as established by company policy.
- Working in a team environment with the ability to be a team player and assist other team members when business needs dictate.
- Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations.
Operates golf cart and/or company truck occasionally to move equipment around the grounds.
Qualifications
- 1-2 years acting as a Runner or similar role in hospitality and food and beverage environments.
- Must have a valid driver license to operate company vehicles.
- Must have knowledge or be willing to be trained how to change kegs / bibs / CO₂ tanks / repair pvc drain lines / change light bulbs / etc.
- Preferred knowledge on draft systems soda / beer.
- Must have knowledge of various beers wines and spirits.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team-oriented environment with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Knowledge of and ability to appropriately interpret and follow policies and procedures.
- Ability to meet the demands of the work schedule to be at work and on time and work long hours if needed; maintain excellent attendance.
- While performing the duties of this position the team members will regularly be required to: Work days nights and/or weekends as required.
