Job Summary
Liquid Personnel is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to support the Community Services through timely and effective initial assessments for its client based in Blackburn.
This locum role sits within a local authority setting and focuses on delivering highquality communitybased assessments and interventions to promote individuals independence safety and wellbeing in their own homes.
The successful candidate will be responsible for completing occupational therapy assessments and overseeing the provision of equipment as well as minor and major adaptations in line with local authority policies and statutory requirements.
What will your responsibilities be
- Undertake communitybased Occupational Therapy assessments
- Identify needs and recommend standard and specialist equipment
- Complete manual handling assessments
- Plan coordinate and facilitate minor and major home adaptations
- Work collaboratively with service users families carers and multidisciplinary professionals
- Develop personcentred outcomefocused support plans
- Maintain accurate timely and legally compliant case records
Qualifications & Experience:
- HCPCregistered Occupational Therapist
- Relevant Occupational Therapy qualification
- Proven experience working within alocal authority/community setting
- Strong knowledge of:
- Equipment provision
- Minor and major adaptations
- Manual handling assessments
- Excellent communication organisation and timemanagement skills
- Ability to work autonomously and manage a community caseload
