- Hours: 22.5 hours/week
- Timing: 9:00 AM 5:00 PM
Compensation:
- Traveler Pay: $76 $86/hour
- Local Pay: $58 $68/hour
Position Overview:
A well-established healthcare facility is seeking a skilled CT Technologist to perform high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures. The ideal candidate will ensure patient safety maintain imaging standards and collaborate with radiologists and healthcare teams in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform CT imaging procedures following established clinical protocols
- Utilize appropriate technical parameters (kV mA) to produce high-quality diagnostic images
- Conduct daily quality control (QC) and calibration checks on CT equipment
- Administer contrast agents as per physician orders and departmental guidelines
- Maintain accurate documentation including logs reports and patient records
- Ensure compliance with radiation safety standards and ALARA principles
- Manage and retrieve imaging data for radiologist interpretation
- Verify and handle radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with safety protocols
- Monitor patient condition and provide care before during and after procedures
- Collaborate effectively with radiologists and multidisciplinary teams
Core Skills:
- Strong expertise in CT imaging and diagnostic quality assurance
- Knowledge of radiation safety and ALARA compliance
- Excellent patient care and clinical judgment
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Education & Requirements:
- Valid New York State (NYS DOH) Radiologic Technologist License (Required)
- ARRT Certification in Radiography and CT (Required)
- BLS Certification (Required)
- Minimum 1 year of CT imaging experience
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
