Job Title: Travel Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Long-Term Care
Location: Omaha NE
Job Type: Contract (Travel)
Duration: 13 Weeks (Extension Possible)
Schedule Options:
- 3x12s (Night Shift Variable Start Times)
- 4x10s or 5x8s (Based on clinician preference)
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week (up to 48 hours based on facility needs)
Compensation: $1750 $2098 per week (based on experience)
Position Overview
A reputable healthcare facility is seeking a dependable and experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a travel assignment in a long-term care (LTC) setting. This role involves providing direct patient care medication administration and supporting residents with chronic and long-term health conditions during night shifts.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications safely and accurately in accordance with physician orders
- Monitor patient conditions and report any changes to the supervising RN or physician
- Provide comprehensive care to residents including geriatric and pulmonary patients
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) including hygiene mobility and feeding
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Follow infection control guidelines and facility safety protocols
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure quality patient care
- Respond promptly to patient needs and ensure safety during night shifts
Required Qualifications
- Active LPN License (Nebraska or Compact State License)
- Experience in long-term care (LTC) preferred
- Ability to work night shifts consistently
- Strong clinical and patient care skills
- BLS Certification required or preferred per facility guidelines
