Supports innovative patient-centered research in population science and cancer control focused on improving the experiences and outcomes of individuals with cancer and their family caregivers. The research program integrates qualitative and quantitative methodologies including in-depth interviews randomized controlled trials and observational studies to examine psychosocial behavioral and healthcare delivery factors across the cancer continuum. This work advances equitable high-quality care for diverse patient populations.Works with a high level of responsibility and operational autonomy in close collaboration with investigators and a multidisciplinary research team to oversee the day-to-day activities of clinical research studies in accordance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP). Contributes to all phases of the research lifecycle including study startup participant recruitment screening enrollment informed consent follow-up data management and regulatory compliance. Translates study protocols into efficient operational workflows that support consistent implementation participant tracking and high-quality data collection. Assists in the development of workflows training materials and standard operating procedures and may support the training of research staff. Participates in team-based initiatives and work groups to advance study execution and research quality.

Job Description Summary:
Supports a portfolio of patient-centered research studies in cancer control and population science with a focus on improving care delivery and outcomes for patients with cancer and their family caregivers. Works independently while collaborating closely with investigators clinicians and research staff to manage the day-to-day operations of clinical research studies in accordance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP). Responsibilities span the full study lifecycle including startup recruitment and enrollment data collection and closeout. Ensures that all study procedures are conducted in compliance with protocol requirements and applicable regulatory standards. Contributes to the development of operational workflows training resources and study documentation to support rigorous and consistent study implementation.
Job Duties
- Interacts with co-workers patients family caregivers and clinical staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.
- Oversees the day-to-day implementation of clinical research studies in accordance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) including participant identification recruitment screening informed consent and follow-up across clinic-based and remote settings. Provides guidance and support to research staff to ensure consistent high-quality study conduct.
- Prepares and submits materials to the Institutional Review Board (IRB) and other regulatory bodies maintaining compliance with protocol requirements and applicable regulations in a timely manner.
- Develops and maintains systems for study tracking including participant status recruitment progress study milestones and required documentation.
- Implements and oversees data collection and management processes including electronic data capture systems to ensure data quality integrity and adherence to protocol and GCP standards.
- Conducts ongoing quality assurance activities including review of study procedures and documentation to ensure accurate data capture and protocol compliance. Prepares for and supports monitoring visits and audits.
- Collaborates with investigators clinicians and research staff to translate study protocols into operational workflows identify and address implementation challenges and support efficient study execution. Contributes to the development and refinement of workflows training materials and standard operating procedures.
High School Diploma or equivalent and SoCRA certification and 6 years of clinical research experience or Bachelors degree and 2 years of clinical research experience or Masters Degree and 1 year clinical research experience.
