The Department of Special Services is looking for a dynamic licensed Speech-Language Pathologist who has experience providing therapy with middle school students on the spectrum and those with developmental disabilities for a leave replacement position from on or about June 1 2026 through January 21 2027. Experience with the integrated model is a strength. We use a multidisciplinary approach which emphasizes teamwork communication and collaboration. New Jersey certification required. Services include individual group push-in and pull-out settings dependent on the childs IEP. Evaluations of students for speech services is another requirement.

The following experiences are an integral part of the position:

Experience with PROMPT therapy
Use of AAC devices
Determining appropriate speech therapy treatment plans through documented evaluations and consultations
Consistently providing only the highest quality of speech therapy service
Maintaining an in-depth knowledge of all State regulations pertaining to the services provided
Collaborate with staff in developing a comprehensive plan to provide activities and support to meet the speech and language learning goals.
Communicate effectively with parents about progress and home support
Experience logging of SEMI services
