Job Title: Merchandising Operations Coordinator (PLM)

Location: Bolingbrook IL (Hybrid)
Duration: 6 Months
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Merchandising Operations Coordinator (PLM) to support product lifecycle and transition activities within a fast-paced merchandising environment. This role plays a key part in managing SKU data supporting product disposition processes and ensuring smooth coordination between merchandising and operations teams.
Key Responsibilities:
SKU Maintenance:
- Manage SKU add/delete processes and ensure all required documentation is complete
- Update and maintain product disposition at both brand and item levels
- Execute updates in systems such as POP Portal and PIM including disposition codes and markdowns
Operational Support:
- Provide day-to-day operational support for category transitions
- Communicate updates clearly to cross-functional teams
- Troubleshoot issues identify root causes and implement solutions
Logistics Coordination:
- Initiate RTV (Return to Vendor) and DIF processes
- Follow up with brands and buyers to obtain RA (Return Authorization) numbers
Markdown Execution:
- Implement clearance and markdown cadence as directed by buyers
Collaboration & Communication:
- Partner with internal teams to ensure alignment on product transitions
- Maintain visibility and transparency across operations
Required Qualifications:
- 2 years of relevant work experience preferred
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
- High level of professionalism and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Self-motivated with a proactive and positive attitude
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel)
- Experience with data management systems preferred
- Knowledge of Adobe Analytics SAP/SAP HANA Power BI or Tableau is a plus
