Medical Assistant I Certified- Adult Medicine (Day 40)

Job Summary
The Adult Medicine Clinic is a large shared-space multispecialty clinic with 2 large primary care practices and 10 other specialty care clinics such as pulmonary lung transplant lupus and endocrinology. The CMAs provide vital support functions including but not limited to rooming intake care gap management vitals 5 different point of care tests EKGs vaccine and medication administration diabetic retinopathy imaging and support for small procedures. The CertifiedMedical Assistant (CMA) functions under the direct supervision and authority of the physician when performing clinical tasks during patient care. The CMA maintains an inventory of examination/procedure room supplies assists in the organization of efficient patient flow and organizes the clinic environment to assure patient safety. The CMA participates in medication and procedure education for patients and their families by providing brochures and literature and may administer meds as ordered by provider. The CMA records care provided in patient medical record.
Shift: Full time-40 hours. Day Shift. No weekends!
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
Licensure/Certification:
- Completion of CMA certification with the credentials ofRMA NCMA NRCMA CCMA or CMAArequiredprior to hire
- ValidBLS CPRcertification required upon hire; JHH accepts AHA Red Cross and military training network
Work Experience:
- Ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of CMA experience.
- MA program externship for new medical assisants

Range: Minimum $18.09/hour - Maximum $29.87/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
