Job Summary
As an OTA you will work under the direction and supervision of the Occupational Therapist provides occupational therapy services to patients/clients to assist in improving basic motor functions reasoning abilities compensating for permanent loss of function by teaching patients/clients to perform tasks in their daily living and working provide treatment to patients/clients with cognitive impairment psychosocial dysfunction and physical with patient/clients and caregiver education.
Standard Qualifications
- Required Associates Degree accredited therapy assistant program
- Therapy assistance experience Preferred
- Experience in neurological injury TBI and Spinal Cord injury (based on Spectrum Health entity) Preferred
- LIC-Occupational Therapist Assistant (OTA) - STATEMI #N/A Upon Hire
- CRT-Occupational Therapy Assistant Certified (COTA) - NB-COT National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy Upon Hire required
- LIC-Drivers License - STATEMI State of Michigan Home Care Business Lines
Upon Hire required - CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association 90 Days required Or
- CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross 90 Days required
