Refrigeration Technician

Cakum Global is recruiting a Refrigeration Technician for our client based near Lae Papua New Guinea.

Role Overview:
This is a hands-on technical role responsible for maintaining and repairing industrial refrigeration and cold storage systems supporting food production processing and storage operations. The role is critical to ensuring product quality operational continuity and compliance with safety standards.

Key Highlights

• Maintain and repair industrial refrigeration systems cold rooms and freezer units
• Perform preventative maintenance to ensure system reliability and uptime
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults
• Monitor temperature control systems and ensure compliance with food safety standards
• Support plant operations including processing facilities and storage areas
• Maintain accurate service logs and maintenance records

Ideal Candidate

• Trade qualification in Refrigeration / HVAC / Mechanical
• Proven experience in industrial refrigeration systems (cold storage food processing or similar)
• Strong knowledge of compressors condensers evaporators and control systems
• Experience working in agribusiness food processing or industrial environments highly regarded
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently in a hands-on fast-paced environment
