About the Role

Join a leading media organization and help shape the digital experience of millions of users. As a Backend Developer you will contribute to the systems behind widely used digital platforms ensuring performance scalability and reliability.

Youll be part of a dynamic product team responsible for critical services such as user authentication profile management and push notifications across multiple digital applications.

Your Responsibilities

• Take end-to-end ownership: from concept and development to testing and release
• Build and maintain high-quality scalable backend systems
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and/or event-driven architectures
• Contribute to architecture decisions and best practices
• Work within a Scrum/Agile environment
• Support CI/CD pipelines monitoring and infrastructure as code
• Ensure code quality through testing (unit integration E2E)
• Collaborate closely with team members and share knowledge

• Cloud: AWS (ECS Lambda S3 DynamoDB )
• Identity & Security: OIDC OAuth2 SAP Customer Data Cloud (Gigya)
• Testing: JUnit Mockito Jest Playwright

Your Profile

Must-Have

• Minimum 3 years experience as a Backend Developer
• Strong expertise in Java (Spring ecosystem)
• Experience with REST APIs and/or event-driven systems
• Familiar with Git and code reviews
• Solid knowledge of testing (unit integration E2E)
• Ability to work independently and in a team

Nice to Have

• Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms
• Knowledge of Go
• Experience with identity & access management (OIDC OAuth2 SAML)
• Familiarity with CI/CD DevOps practices and infrastructure as code
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams
• Knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript
• Fluent in Dutch (C2 level)
