We are seeking a dedicated Hospitalist Physician to join our dynamic team at Jefferson Health Cherry Hill. The Hospitalist will be responsible for managing the comprehensive care of hospitalized patients ensuring optimal clinical outcomes and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct inpatient care including assessment diagnosis treatment and management of patients.
- Coordinate with specialists nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Participate in patient admissions daily rounds and discharges ensuring continuity of care.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies including Rapid Response Team activations and Code Blue situations.
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of clinical protocols.
- Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) systems for documentation and communication.
- Mentor and supervise medical students residents or advanced practice providers as applicable.
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
- Valid New Jersey medical license or eligibility to obtain one.
- Active DEA and CDS registrations.
- Minimum of 3 years of residency training in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine with hospital experience.
- Strong clinical acumen excellent communication skills and a commitment to patient-centered care.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in hospitalist medicine within an academic or community hospital setting.
- Familiarity with EPIC or similar EMR systems.
- Interest in teaching and mentoring medical trainees.
