IT Infrastructure Analyst

WGM Engineering Ltd part of RSK Group has an exciting vacancy for an IT Infrastructure Analyst to join our IT team on a permanent contract based in our Glasgow office with Hybrid and home based working arrangements.

About the Role

The IT Infrastructure Analyst will support the delivery maintenance and continuous improvement of WGM Engineerings IT infrastructure. This role is critical in ensuring the stability security and performance of IT systems across the organisation. The Analyst will contribute to the successful delivery of infrastructure projects ensuring that implementations are technically soundtimely and aligned with business needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support for IT infrastructure including servers networks cloud services and endpoint devices.
• Monitor system performance and availability proactivelyidentifyingand resolving issues.
• Support the implementation and successful delivery of infrastructure projects including cloud migrations network upgrades and security enhancements.
• Maintain documentation for infrastructure configurations procedures and troubleshooting guides.
• Assistin enforcing IT policies procedures and compliance standards (e.g. Cyber Essentials Plus).
• Collaborate with service desk and resolver groups to ensuretimelyresolution of escalated incidents.
• Participate in system upgrades patch management and backup/disaster recovery testing.
• Contribute to automation and service improvement initiatives.
• Liaise with vendors and service providers to support infrastructure operation

Person Specification

• Proven experience in a technical IT support or infrastructure analyst role.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across hardware software and network domains.
• Familiarity with ITIL practices and ITSM tools.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 administration and Azure cloud services.
• Working knowledge of: Mobile Device Management (PCs smartphones tablets) LAN/WAN technologies
• Cloud migration (SharePoint Azure)
• Cybersecurity frameworks (e.g. Cyber Essentials Plus)
• Degree in IT or a related discipline or equivalent business experience.
• ITIL Foundation certification (preferred).
• Microsoft 365 Administrator certification (or equivalent experience).
• CCNA or equivalent networking certification (desirable).
• Customer-first mindset with a professional and consistent approach to IT support.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
