The opportunity
A Quality Manager is required to lead regulatory compliance and quality oversight within AJWs Sofia operation. This role is responsible for ensuring that all activities meet aviation regulatory standards while driving a culture of quality accountability and continuous improvement across the business. The position supports AJWs mission to transform aviation efficiency by ensuring quality standards are consistently applied risks are controlled and operational outputs meet the highest levels of safety and compliance.
What youll be doing
Ensure full compliance with aviation regulatory requirements (e.g. EASA FAA where applicable) across all activities
Act as the primary point of contact for regulatory authorities and external auditors
Plan manage and lead internal and external audits ensuring robust preparation and follow-up
Oversee investigation of non-conformities ensuring thorough root cause analysis and effective corrective and preventative actions (CAPA)
Monitor and report on quality performance identifying trends risks and improvement opportunities
Work closely with operational supply chain and technical teams to ensure regulatory standards are embedded into day-to-day activities
Maintain oversight of supplier quality ensuring third-party compliance aligns with regulatory expectations
Ensure all quality documentation procedures and records meet regulatory and audit requirements
Provide guidance and challenge to operational teams to uphold quality and compliance standards
Lead and develop quality capability within the Sofia operation
Job requirements
About you
Strong experience in aviation quality or compliance within an MRO airline or aviation supply chain environment
In-depth knowledge of EASA regulations (e.g. Part-145 Part-21 Part-M/CAMO as relevant)
Proven experience managing audits and regulatory inspections
Strong understanding of compliance frameworks risk management and quality assurance principles
Experience leading investigations and implementing effective CAPA processes
Ability to influence stakeholders and drive adherence to standards
Strong analytical and reporting skills
