Data Engineer

This is an onsite role within a Data Engineering team working alongside architects analysts and data/AI/governance professionals in a collaborative Agile environment. The role focuses on accelerating data initiatives through modern scalable solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with architects analysts engineers and stakeholders to deliver data solutions
• Build scalable secure data products with strong governance and quality
• Design and develop data pipelines (batch/streaming) using cloud technologies
• Create design artifacts including mapping specifications
• Develop unit/integration tests and support CI/CD automation
• Participate in code reviews and ensure best practices
• Deploy monitor and maintain production systems
• Work within Agile framework and demonstrate adaptability and attention to detail

Must Have:

• 5 years experience in data analysis design development and delivery
• 5 years proficiency in SQL ETL/ELT cloud data warehouses and data management tools
• 2 years experience with DevOps and CI/CD
• 1 year hands-on experience with Git and Python (beyond POC)
• Strong understanding of data engineering best practices and integration patterns

Nice to Have:

• Experience with AWS and/or Azure DevOps (CI/CD pipelines orchestration)
• Experience with automation scripting and testing in data environments
• Experience working with complex data systems
• Understanding of data governance catalogs data quality and glossary
• Financial services / insurance domain experience
• Master Data Management / Reference Data experience

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Data Science Statistics or related field
• Experience working in Agile environments
• Strong communication collaboration and problem-solving skills
• Ability to break down complex data solutions and work effectively with stakeholders
