We are looking for professional truck drivers to join us and become part of our Arrow family in Saskatoon. As an Arrow driver you will be hauling products that are directly related to building the economic growth in beautiful Western Canada.

Perform pre and post anden route trip inspections on equipmentoperated ensuring safety road-worthinessand regulatory complianceComply with applicable legislation including safe operation load securement drivers hours of service occupational health and safety transportation of dangerous goods and weights and dimensionsComply with all rules and regulations protocols and established metricsEfficiently maneuver truck and trailer(s) into loading or unloading positions following signals from loading crew as needed; check that vehicle position is correct and any special loading equipment is properly positionedMay operate loading equipment as per role requirementsCheck mobile equipment (i.e. frontend loaders) to ensure that mechanical and safety equipment is in good working orderReport vehicle defects accidents traffic violations or damage to the vehicles to the relevant supervisorReport all safety hazards or conditions encountered at load unload yard and shop sitesRecord Maintain and Check all relevant paperwork (i.e. bill of lading) and documentation to ensure that it is complete and accurateOperate equipment such as truck cab computers CB radios and telephones to exchange necessary information with bases supervisors or other driversComplete electronic and/or manual logs of working hours and of vehicle service and repair status following applicable provincial and federal regulationsCommunicate effectively and courteously with the public customers and co-workersAssist in loading and unloading of trucksPerform periodic inspections before during and after delivery to ensure that load is properly fastened down and is secureEnsure that material is properly protected from the outdoor elements. Tarping loads may be a requirementEnsure that any debris caused by the loading/unloading of truck is cleaned upProvide feedback to supervisor/dispatch regarding customer problems mechanical problems or delivery problemsEnsure that all customers co-workers and the public are dealt with professionally and with respectTrain others when requiredYou Possess
- Valid Class 1 drivers license with air brake endorsement and a clean drivers abstract
- Previous B-Train and winter driving experience driving is required
- Ability to pass a preemployment drug screening and provide two job references
- Ability to drive a standard (manual) transmission
- Effective English communication skills both verbal and written for safe work execution documentation and coordination with dispatch and site personnel
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs overhead 75 lbs to shoulder height moving up to 100 lbs and sitting for extended periods
- Ability to take direction work independently with minimal supervision and crosstrain across facility functions
- Basic understanding of vehicle and trailer maintenance
- Strong safety quality and organizational mindset including task prioritization and meeting timelines
- Professional mature demeanor under stress; ethical accountable dependable and integritydriven
- Positive flexible team player with strong interpersonal skills and a solid work ethic
