Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • Design implement and maintain enterprise routing and switching infrastructure
  • Administer and optimize data center network architectures
  • Deploy and manage SD-WAN solutions across multiple sites
  • Configure and troubleshoot WAN acceleration technologies
  • Oversee enterprise wireless network infrastructure
  • Install configure and maintain network hardware equipment
  • Perform capacity planning and network performance optimization
  • Provide escalation support for complex network issues
  • Document network configurations procedures and standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure projects
  • Participate in on-call rotation for critical infrastructure support

Required Qualifications

Experience:

  • 5 years of hands-on network engineering experience
  • Proven experience with enterprise routing and switching environments
  • Strong background in data center networking
  • Demonstrated expertise with SD-WAN deployments
  • Experience with WAN optimization and acceleration technologies
  • Enterprise wireless network implementation experience

Technical Competencies:

  • Expert-level knowledge of TCP/IP routing protocols (BGP OSPF EIGRP)
  • Advanced switching concepts (VLANs STP VPC MLAG)
  • Strong understanding of network security principles
  • Experience with network monitoring and management tools
  • Proficiency in network troubleshooting methodologies
  • Ability to read and create network diagrams

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to shift between software and hardware administration
  • Strong documentation skills
  • Project management capabilities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field
  • Industry certifications such as:
    • Cisco CCNP or CCIE
    • Aruba ACMP/ACMX or ACCP/ACCX
    • Arista ACE certification
  • Experience with network automation and scripting (Python Ansible)
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware KVM)
  • Knowledge of cloud networking (AWS Azure GCP)
  • ITIL framework knowledge
Theyll take anything from a Campus Network Engineer to a Senior Campus Network Engineer.

Work Environment

  • Onsite requirement: 5 days per week at AMD facility
  • Hands-on role requiring physical presence for hardware installation and maintenance
  • May require occasional off-hours work for maintenance windows
  • Participation in on-call rotation may be required
