Life Saving Victoria is Victorias peak water safety and lifesaving organisationbuilt on the proudtraditions and programs of our founding organisations the Royal Life Saving Society Australia and Surf Life Saving Australia.
Lifesaving has been an integral part of the Victorian way of life since 1904. TodayLSV is a multifaceted volunteer-based community organisation with a focus on public safety and community wellbeing
Our volunteers membersemployeesand partners work together with communities educational institutions government agenciesbusinessesand the broader aquatic industry to Save lives and empower communities to safely enjoy water.
About the role:
This is a full time maximum term position until 30 June 2027. The position has hybrid working arrangements with our office based in Port Melbourne.
In this role youll play an important part in bringing LSVs water safety education to life through highquality learning resources. Working closely with senior specialists and subject matter experts youll contribute to materials that are engaging accurate and fit for purpose across a range of programs.
In this role you will:
- Help research draft and refresh educational resources that support LSV programs delivered in both wet and dry environments
- Use approved content water safety standards and guidance to ensure learning materials are accurate relevant and ageappropriate
- Create clear wellstructured resources using approved templates style guides and digital tools ensuring consistency with LSV branding
- Edit and proofread content so its easy to understand engaging and suitable for children and young people
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation to gather input refine content and incorporate feedback
- Support the smooth management of education resources including file organisation version control and continuous improvement
About you
You are a detailoriented and organised professional who enjoys contributing to meaningful education and community outcomes. You work well under direction value collaboration and take pride in producing clear engaging and accurate materials.
You will bring:
- A relevant qualification in education community services health promotion communications or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Strong written communication skills with excellent attention to detail
- Experience using Microsoft Office and basic digital content tools (e.g. Word PowerPoint Canva or similar)
- The ability to follow established processes templates and quality standards
- Good organisational skills including managing tasks deadlines and version control
- A collaborative mindset and willingness to take direction from senior staff and subject matter experts
- A valid Victorian Employee Working with Children Check is required (or willingness to obtain).
