Job Summary
Seeking a detail-oriented motivated and customer-focusedCommercial Lines Account Managerto serve as the primary liaison between the company and commercial clients. This role involves ensuring insurance needs are met with accuracy efficiency and care. The position requires exceptional communication skills a commitment to building strong client relationships and a thorough understanding of commercial insurance products.
Responsibilities
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with commercial clients understanding their business needs and insurance requirements.
- Policy Handling: Review process and manage commercial insurance policies endorsements renewals and other documentation.
- Customer Support: Address client inquiries resolve policy-related issues and provide timely professional support to meet their needs.
- Cross-Team Collaboration: Partner with underwriters producers and other internal teams to ensure seamless and accurate client service from start to finish.
- Needs Assessment: Analyze client risks and recommend appropriate insurance products and coverage options tailored to their unique business situations.
- Compliance: Ensure all processes and policies comply with local state and federal regulations.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in agency management systems.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay informed of industry trends changes in regulations and product updates to ensure clients receive the best guidance possible.
Qualifications/Requirements
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent is required; a bachelors degree in business insurance or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in a similar role within the commercial insurance industry is highly desirable.
Skills
- Strong expertise in commercial insurance products policies and coverages.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts in a clear client-friendly manner.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Proficiency in agency management software and Microsoft Office Suite (e.g. Word Excel and Outlook).
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a client-focused mindset.
Licensing/Certifications
- Active Property and Casualty (P&C) Insurance License is required.
- Professional designations such as CIC (Certified Insurance Counselor) or CRM (Certified Risk Manager) are a plus.
