Job Summary
Now Hiring: Machinist Helper Statham GA
Pay: $19.00/hour
Shift: 1st Shift
We are currently seeking a Machinist Helper to join our team at our Statham GA facility. This role supports manufacturing operations by assisting with material preparation machine setup and maintaining a safe and organized work environment. This position reports directly to the Manufacturing Manager.
What Were Looking For
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Previous manufacturing experience required
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints engineering prints and manuals
- Experience with hand tools and basic machine operation
- Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math (fractions & decimals)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Dependable punctual and able to follow instructions
- Ability to multitask and work well with others
- Valid drivers license (occasional parts pickup/delivery required)
- Willingness to work overtime as needed
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret job orders and blueprints to assist with machine setup
- Select and prepare raw materials for production
- Cut materials using vertical/horizontal band saws and other tools
- Deburr parts to meet required specifications and tolerances
- Operate sanders power tools and other shop equipment
- Follow all safety procedures including machine guarding and proper equipment use
- Maintain a clean safe and organized work area
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Frequent bending stooping and reaching
