Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a potential opportunity for a civilian Registered Nurse - Gastroenterologyat Nellis Air Force Base in Las Vegas Nevada.This contract position offers:
Position Highlights:

Education and Experience:
The Family Health Registered Nursewill have the following requirements:
- Must be a US citizen or lawful permanent resident or alien authorized to work in the US
- Shall have and maintain a current full active and unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse in any one of the 50 states the District of Columbia the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico or the U.S. Virgin Islands.
- Shall hold and maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Advanced Life Support (ALS).Certifications must be through American Heart Association or American Red Cross guidelines.
- Shall have completed a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited college or university; National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) or The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
- Minimum of two (2) years experience as a clinical nurse in the medical/surgical critical care inpatient or emergency department settings and have been employed in one of those work settings within the past 36 months.
- Minimum of one (1) year experience providing moderate sedation with recovery.
General Knowledge:
- Must have knowledge of professional care theories principles practices disease process and procedures to perform nursing assignments of moderate difficulty and experience to acutely ill adults and geriatric patients as appropriate.
- Coordinates patient care through a continuum and facilitates the achievement of optimal outcomes in relation to care quality and cost effectiveness.
- Ensures compliance with standards of care and practice in accordance with all established policies procedures and guidelines used in the medical treatment facility. Provides care within ethical and legal boundaries.
- Assesses plans implements and evaluates nursing care for adult and geriatric patients.
- Ability to recognize adverse signs and symptoms and react quickly in emergency situations.
- Provide pre-procedural counseling and education for patients planning to undergo GI procedures.
