Job Summary
Introduction:
The Outreach and Research Program of the Department of Paediatrics and Child Health has ten community-based field sites across Pakistan (including four in Karachi) and focuses on research for betterment of women and child health. The Department has a Nutritional Research Laboratory as well as an Infectious Disease Research Laboratory that cater to the needs of its research projects. It has well-acclaimed work to its credit both at the national and international level.

Responsibilities:
Specific responsibilities include to:
- contribute to study design protocol development and statistical analysis planning
- perform sample size estimation subject randomization and database structuring
- manage clean and verify research data to ensure accuracy and completeness
- prepare derived datasets and perform descriptive and inferential statistical analyses using statistical software
- supervise data entry processes and conduct quality control checks on collected data
- generate tables figures and statistical outputs for reports and publications
- support manuscript preparation and correspondence with journals on statistical matters
- provide statistical support and guidance to research teams residents and faculty members
Requirements:
You should have:
- masters degree in Statistics preferably with additional certification
- at least three to four years of relevant experience in research or Public Health settings
- excellent command of statistical software such as Stata R and SPSS
- strong knowledge of data management databases and programming concepts
- proficiency in Microsoft Excel Word and PowerPoint for data analysis and presentation
- strong academic writing skills including preparation of statistical analysis plans
- ability to explain statistical concepts clearly to nonstatistical audiences
- excellent verbal and written communication skills
- integrity and strong research ethics.
