At Flight Centre our Travel Consultants spend their days having meaningful customer conversations converting enquiries into bookings and working toward clear sales targets while earning commission on every sale. You will work in a fast paced customer facing retail environment where personality performance and customer experience all matter.
This role is rewarding but its not easy especially in your first few months. You will be learning multiple systems navigating a wide range of products and managing high volume customer conversations all while building confidence in a dynamic retail environment.

About the opportunity
As a Travel Consultant you will work full time on site in one of our retail stores on a rotating roster across a 7 day trade. This is a target driven sales role where success is measured through KPIs revenue conversion and customer satisfaction.
You will take ownership of the customer journey from first enquiry through to booking and follow up selling complete travel solutions - not just flights.
What You Will Be Doing
- Convert customer enquiries into confirmed bookings through consultative sales conversations
- Work toward individual KPIs and sales targets earning commission on every sale
- Sell end to end travel solutions including flights accommodation tours cruises car hire transfers and travel insurance
- Build a loyal base of new and repeat customers - from simple domestic trips to complex international holidays
- Manage multiple customers and communication channels at once (in-store phone email) in a fast-paced retail environment
- Use booking systems and supplier tools to quote upsell book and follow up accurately and efficiently
What Success Looks Like in This Role
- You enjoy working toward targets and are motivated by results and commission
- You are confident asking for the booking and closing the sale
- You balance great customer experience with delivering results
- You stay organized resilient and positive when things get busy
What Were Looking For
- Minimum 2 years experience in travel sales
- Experience using Sabre GDS preferred
- Minimum 2 years experience in a customer-facing target-driven sales role with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets and upselling products or services
- Strong communication skills and confidence selling in person and over the phone
- High attention to detail and strong computer skills with confidence using multiple complex systems
- International travel experience
- High school diploma or higher
- Availability to work full-time hours including evenings and weekends

This posting reflects an active vacancy that we are currently seeking to fill.
For this position we anticipate offering an annual salary of $45000plus commission/incentive earnings based on achievable targets. The salary is dependent on relevant factors including experience geographic location and job requirements. On target earnings average range between $45000- $68000. The annual salary range listed represents the total compensation package excluding benefits.
