Job Summary
As part of the group treatment team theSIL Supervisor plans directs and coordinates the activities of theSILcottage on the agencys campus. TheSILsupervisor oversees the cottage to ensure it meets agency expectations and goals ensures the cottage maintains compliance with agency and DHHS requirements assess cottage needs develops goals and ensures that the cottage has a cooperative working relationship with the rest of the program and agency supervises assigned staff and assists them in their job duties.
Along with theEmployment SpecialistandCase MangertheSILsupervisor leads a group treatment team with the responsibility for ensuring each child successfully completes the goalsset forth intheir treatment plan.
Manage the cottage to ensure itoperateswithin the rules regulations and guidelines set forth by the State of Michigans DHHS MCHS and CARF and CCI.
Establish and oversee administrative procedures to meetobjectivesset by the Director ofSIL(DSIL)and the leadership team;participatein developing department goals andobjectives.
Establish andmaintaincottage systemsrecordsand reports; recommendnew approaches policies and procedures for continual improvement of cottage services.
Education and Experiences
Bachelors degree ina humanbehavioral science such as Social Work or a related discipline where 25% of the course credits earned toward the degree are in human behavior sciences.
Minimum of two (2) years experience in a residential or inpatient setting working with serious emotional disorder (SED) at-risk youth between the ages of16-21 preferred.
Experience as a supervisor in a residential program preferred.
