Job Summary
Junior Model Risk Specialist / Model Validator
As aJunior Model Risk Specialist / Model Validatoryou will strengthen the model risk management framework and help bring model validation and model governance within DLL to a higher level. You will contribute to the continuous improvement of policies standards and controls throughout the model lifecycle and collaborate closely with model development validation and other stakeholders. Day to day:
- Support the enhancement and maintenance of the Model Risk Management Framework (MRMF) in line with internal governance and regulatory expectations (e.g. ECB EBA SR11-7 AI Act)
- Perform independent validations of Compliance and AI models in line with regulatory requirements and DLLs model validation standards
- Execution of the periodic model review and monitoring of model risk throughout the model life cycle
- Managing the balance between quality of validation efficiency and effectiveness of the model governance processes while considering and aligning with stakeholders across different domains
- Maintain the Model Inventory by ensuring completeness accuracy and timely updates for models throughout the model lifecycle
- Support the secretarial activities of the Model Risk Committee (MRC) including managing timely submissions documenting meeting outcomes and capturing key decisions and action plans

Essentials:
- A Bachelor/Master degree in Econometrics Actuarial Science Statistics Mathematics Data Science or another quantitative discipline
- 2-4 years of work experience in modelling validation and/or model risk management
- Experience with assessing and managing model risk across the model lifecycle. Experience with model governance is considered a plus
- Experience performing quantitative analyses using Python or R and SQL; experience with cloud platforms (Azure/Databricks) is a plus
- Excellent communication writing and reporting skills in English
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with different stakeholders
