UI Engineer

Job Summary
We are looking for a UI Engineer to join our team supporting our government customer located in the Washington DC metro area. This is an onsite work opportunity. U.S. Citizenship required. This is a 1 year project.
What Youll Do
- Design and develop responsive accessible UI components using React and TypeScript in alignment with federal accessibility standards (e.g. Section 508)
- Translate wireframes UX designs and acceptance criteria into high-quality production-ready code
- Integrate RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs to deliver dynamic data-driven user experiences
- Develop and maintain unit tests using Vitest to ensure code quality reliability and compliance with program standards
- Troubleshoot and resolve defects identified through QA testing and user feedback
- Participate in Agile ceremonies code reviews and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with security performance and usability requirements
What Youll Bring
- Minimum 6 years experience developing front-end applications using React and TypeScript
- Demonstrated ability to build UI components based on wireframes and UX specifications
- Experience writing unit tests for front-end applications (Vitest or similar frameworks)
- Exposure to Azure applications; Azure DevOps tools
- Understanding of secure coding practices and experience working in compliance-driven environments
- Excellent communication (verbal) skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- U.S. Citizenship required (due to federal contract requirements)
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Ant Design React Query Zustand or similar modern UI frameworks and state management tools
- Experience supporting federal programs
- Knowledge of accessibility standards (Section 508 WCAG)
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments within government programs
- Active Public Trust or security clearance (or ability to obtain one)
