Responsibilities
Peraton is currently seeking an experienced Deputy Task Leadto become part of our Federal Strategic Cyber Group.
Location: Beltsville MD
Schedule:Mon-Friday 08:00-16:00 (8:00 AM - 4:00PM).
In this role you will:
- Support Task leadwith daily operations of a Cyber Security Operations Center (C-SOC) operability of workstations at all levels of classifications review and audit cyber incident response tickets ensure shift coverage track accountability of personnel attend shift change briefs identify and mitigate negative performance trends provide command control and direction
- Support Task lead with the execution of on-boarding off-boarding and training of contractors
- Support Task lead in executing Continuity of Operations assist in developing and implementing detailed plans provide command and control providing cyclic status reporting and after-action reports
- Support Task lead execute and deliver time sensitive ad hoc taskings from contract and customer leadership
- Manage and execute site tours
- Manage draft review and deliver program documentation: Weekly Activity Reports Monthly Status Reports Shift Change Reports Knowledge Based Articles Standard Operating Procedures Slick Sheets Schedules Maturity Models Concept of Operations
- Provide operational support during significant cyber incident response operations and severe outage incidents
- Organize and conduct staff meetings in support of the customers and programs lines of effort
- Assist with managing administrative data; staffing reports security clearance rosters badging information out of bounds contact info account access email distribution lists
- Assist with managing overtime requirements
- Assist with managing the development of metrics-based dashboards to track C-SOC performance in support of customer Service Level Agreements and performance targets
- Collaborate with Tie1 Tier 2 Security Development Team Advanced Response Tactics Team Task Lead Task Manger and customer leadership to provide information briefs and solutioning as needed
- Analyze business processes to determine inefficiencies develop and implement optimization plans to increase efficiency
- Assist with yearly goal setting and performance reviews
- Assist with timecard processing
- Assist with Peraton Professional Development training requests
Qualifications
Minimum requirements:
- A bachelors degree and minimum of 9 years of relevant experience.
- An additional 4 years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
- Must possess or be able to obtain one of the following certification before start date. Continued certification required as a condition of employment:
- CASP CE;CCNA Cyber Ops; CCNA-Security; CCNP Security; CEH; CFR; CISA; CISSP (or Associate); Cloud; CySA; GCED; GCIA; GCIH; GICSP; SCYBER; VCA DCV; PPDA; Agile IC;
SNOW App Dev
- Demonstrated leadership experience including mentoring staff managing team performance and fostering a collaborative work environment
- Strong project management skills with the ability to plan schedule allocate resources and ensure timely delivery of objectives
- Proven ability to analyze complex problems support decision-making and align team efforts with strategic organizational goals
- Experience in risk management data analysis and performance reporting including tracking KPIs and ensuring quality standards are met
- Excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities engage stakeholders and resolve conflicts effectively
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Active Secret security with the ability to obtain a final Top Secret security clearance.

Target Salary Range
$112000 - $179000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position the individuals experience education knowledge skills and competencies as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position employees may be eligible for overtime shift differential and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
