Accounting Intern

Essential Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing journal entries with proper supporting documentation.
• Support monthly balance sheet reconciliations and help investigate variances.
• Participate in month-end and year-end close activities to ensure timely completion.
• Help review general ledger activity and identify basic trends or discrepancies.
• Follow company policies and assist with compliance with accounting standards (U.S. GAAP).
• Provide support during internal and external audits by organizing and preparing documentation.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives and help maintain standardized procedures.
• Collaborate with Accounts Payable Accounts Receivable Payroll and Finance teams on routine tasks.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Education & Experience

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelors degree in accounting finance or a related field
• Prior internship or coursework in accounting is a plus but not required
• Basic knowledge of U.S. GAAP principles preferred
• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel (e.g. formulas pivot tables)
• Exposure to ERP systems (e.g. SAP Oracle NetSuite) is a plus
