Planning Team Leader Internal Applicants Only
Job Summary
We would like to present you with an exciting opportunity for a Planning Team Leader to join our friendly team at our Minworth site on a full time permanent basis!
Salary: 39300 per annum.
Working hours: Monday-Friday 9am-5pm.
As a Planning Team Leader you will be responsible for delegating and distributing the workload ensuring that the team are coached and trained in all aspects of the role. The planning team leader is responsible for ensuring all third party work is built into the plans and takes responsibility to source additional lanes reducing empty running
Key Duties of a Planning Team Leader:
- To take responsibility for all 3rd party loads ensuring these are allocated on TMS that the depot transport teams are aware and understand what is required and that records are kept for invoicing.
- Effective communication with the depot transport teams to ensure service levels are met and resource is optimized.
- First point of contact for the planning team.
- To lead the team with new processes and procedures and make sure training is completed.
- Conduct investigations in line with company procedures.
- Liaising with the warehouse teams to ensure resource is in place to achieve company KPIs.
Qualifications :
- Ability to work without direct supervision.
- Adaptable approach to work & training.
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure.
- Ability to work on own and as part of a team.
- Good IT skills including Microsoft office.
- Transport experience in a FMCG background.
- Customer Service driven.
