About Solugen:
Solugens mission is to decarbonize chemical manufacturing. As an initial step Solugen is building its first commercial plant with a capacity of 10000 tpy with the potential to offset up to 37000 tpy of carbon dioxide equivalents.
The Financial Accounting & Reporting Manager is responsible for overseeing the preparation accuracy and timely delivery of financial statements and reports. This role ensures compliance with GAAP manages the month-end close process and supports internal and external reporting requirements. The position partners closely with senior leadership auditors and cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and maintain strong internal controls.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the monthly quarterly and annual financial close process
Prepare and review financial statements (balance sheet income statement cash flow statement of equity)
Ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements
Oversee cost accounting variance analysis and inventory review
Ensure proper accounting for fixed assets depreciation and capital projects
Oversee account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
Manage external audits and coordinate with auditors
Develop and maintain internal controls and accounting policies
Analyze financial results and provide variance analysis and insights
Collaborate with multiple departments within the Company
Drive process improvements and automation initiatives
Supervise accounting staff
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field (CPA strongly preferred)
58 years of accounting or financial reporting experience (preference in chemicals manufacturing or industrial sectors)
Strong knowledge of GAAP
Experience with NetSuite ERP system
Advanced Excel skills
Experience managing audits and financial reporting cycles

Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities
Preferred Qualifications
Public accounting background (Big 4 or similar)
Experience in a publicly traded company
Familiarity with internal controls/SOX
