Description

Bridgewater College a member of the Old Dominion Athletic Conference and NCAA Division III is seeking applications for the position of Assistant Athletic Trainer to begin immediately. This is a full-time 10-month position reporting to the Head Athletic Trainer.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Provide clinical athletic training services for any of the more than 600 NCAA Division III athletes in the Bridgewater College intercollegiate sports program.
  • Act as a preceptor for the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training (CAATE) accredited graduate athletic training program.
  • Additional responsibilities as deemed necessary by the Head Athletic Trainer and/or the Associate Director of Athletics.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Masters degree in athletic training or related field preferred Bachelors degree accepted
  • Must possess a Board of Certification Inc. endorsement as a certified athletic trainer
  • Commonwealth of Virginia License as an athletic trainer (or eligible)
  • Experience in collegiate football and or mens lacrosse is preferred
  • Certified in CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer
  • Must demonstrate commitment to excellence in athletic healthcare
  • Desire to work closely with CAATE graduate athletic training students
  • Demonstrate leadership effective communication and organizational skills.
  • Basic competency in Microsoft Office applications is required.
  • Must possess a valid drivers license and be insurable by the colleges auto insurance carrier.

Pay is competitive and salary is commensurate with experience.
