- Temporary hourly-intermittent student assistant position available in the English department.
- Days/Hours
- 8-10 hours a week
- Start Date
- Position available on or after May 6 2026and ending on or before May 31 2026. Possibility of reappointment based on budget department needs and job performance.
- Job Description/Duties
- Duties include but are not limited to:
- Perform essential editing and design tasks for online journal.
- Collaborate with staff on editorial and design decisions including vetting submissions and formatting literature and art for publication.
- Organize plan and market events and community projects -Lead as necessary in assigned publishing tasks and projects.
- Establish and maintain a professional publishing environment that interacts with the community.
- Create new opportunities to enhance literary and arts engagement on campus.
- Plan and organize future publishing tasks and projects.
- Promote calls for submissions and upcoming events via social media.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Qualifications
- Preferred Qualifications:
- English undergraduate or graduate student.
- Previous publishing and/or editing experience.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Required Qualifications:- Undergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units.
- Post-baccalaureate students in a graduate program must be registered in a minimum of four (4) Fall/Spring units.
- Salary Range
- $17.00 per hour.
