Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a long-term care setting. This role involves delivering high-quality nursing care to residents supervising support staff and ensuring compliance with clinical and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical judgment leadership skills and a commitment to resident-centered care.
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established care plans and physician orders
Supervise and support nursing assistants in daily resident care activities
Administer medications and treatments safely while verifying patient identity
Monitor resident conditions and document changes accurately in medical records
Transcribe and implement physician orders with attention to detail
Assist with admissions transfers and discharges including required documentation
Perform clinical procedures such as wound care catheterization tube feedings and specimen collection
Measure and record vital signs (temperature pulse respiration blood pressure)
Communicate effectively with physicians residents and family members regarding care plans
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in care planning and delivery
Maintain adequate supplies and report needs to the Nurse Supervisor
Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and patient confidentiality standards
Promote resident safety comfort and overall well-being
Participate in quality improvement initiatives surveys and inspections
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited nursing program or approved LPN program
Active unrestricted LPN license in the state of Massachusetts
Current BLS / CPR / AED certification required
Prior experience in long-term care preferred
Strong knowledge of nursing practices procedures and regulatory standards
Ability to supervise staff and make sound clinical decisions independently
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively with residents families and healthcare teams
Must be able to read write and communicate effectively in English
Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and meeting job demands
