Shift: Mid Shift 2:00 PM 10:30 PM / Night Shift 11:00 PM 7:30 AM (5x8 rotating weekends)
Orientation: 12 hours (non-billable)
Job Description:
Navitas Healthcare LLC isseeking a qualified Medical Lab Technician (MLT) to join a hospital-based laboratory team on a travel contract. This role requires flexibility to work primarily second shift with rotating weekends. The clinician will float between IU North (Carmel IN) IU Fishers (Fishers IN) and IU West (Avon IN) performing tasks independently across multiple lab areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform clinical laboratory tests in Heme Blood Bank Chemistry Urinalysis and kit testing
- Maintain accurate documentation in Cerner EMR
- Work independently once trained across multiple lab sites
- Participate in blood bank procedures and generalist lab operations
- Adhere to hospital safety infection control and lab protocols
- Work rotating weekends and 2/3 major holidays as required
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year hospital clinical laboratory experience
- National Certification: ASCP MLS MLT or MT required
- Experience in blood bank required
- Ability to travel and float between three hospital locations
- First-time travel clinicians accepted
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Must work independently and reliably in all lab areas
