Position Overview
At Foundation Building Materials (FBM) the Accounts Payable Coordinator is responsible for processing high-volume invoices and payments accurately and efficiently while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. This role supports financial operations by maintaining strong attention to detail meeting deadlines and delivering excellent service to both internal and external customers in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities and Qualifications
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable Operations
Process high-volume invoice and payment data entry accurately and in a timely manner
Ensure payments are completed in accordance with company policies and procedures
Maintain accurate records and documentation for audit and compliance purposes
Financial & Administrative Support
Assist with month-end close processes including flexible scheduling as needed
Utilize accounting software and Microsoft Office tools to manage workflows
Apply basic accounting principles to daily tasks
Customer Service & Collaboration
Provide high-quality service to internal teams and external vendors
Communicate clearly and professionally across all levels of the organization
Collaborate with team members to meet departmental goals and deadlines
Organization & Problem Solving
Prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Maintain strong attention to detail and accuracy in all work
Identify and resolve issues proactively
Additional Responsibilities & Miscellaneous
Perform other duties as assigned to support Accounts Payable and corporate objectives
Qualifications
Associate degree or equivalent professional experience in lieu of formal education
2 years of experience in Accounts Payable or a related accounting field
Basic knowledge of accounting principles and practices
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word Excel Outlook)
Experience with accounting software preferred
Strong organizational multitasking and time management skills
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and thoroughness
Strong initiative and problem-solving abilities
Dependable with consistent attendance and responsiveness to direction
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines

Compensation
The listed pay range reflects the expected base rate for this position. Within the range individual pay may vary based on experience qualifications and work location within state. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.
Base: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour
Bonus: 5% Target Bonus
Total Compensation (Base Bonus): The successful candidate could reasonably expect a Total Compensation Package in the range of $49000 - $58900
Equity: This role is not eligible for equity opportunities awards or grants
