Binding Production Underwriter
Job Summary
Seeking dynamic and entrepreneurial professionals to join a team as Binding Production Underwriters specializing in either Commercial Lines or Personal Lines. This role offers a unique opportunity to build and expand a book of business by underwriting new accounts and fostering strong client relationships to drive renewal business.
Compensation Package
- Competitive salary range: $100000 - $200000 annually
- Performance-based bonus opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Build maintain and grow a profitable book of business.
- Manage agency relationships and act as the primary client contact.
- Develop and execute marketing strategies to drive new and renewal business.
- Rate quote and bind risks determining acceptability coverage and pricing for both new and renewal accounts.
- Submit underwriting referrals to company brokerage facilities and management.
- Monitor key performance metrics and implement corrective actions to optimize new business acquisition renewal retention premium growth and loss ratios.
- Lead train and mentor Assistant and Associate Underwriters.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of commercial lines underwriting or brokerage experience (excess & surplus experience preferred).
- Demonstrated proficiency in sales and marketing.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Commitment to ongoing education and professional development.
- Insurance license CPCU CIC or comparable designations preferred.
