We are seeking an experienced Lead Saw Operator to join our team! In this role you will operate advanced component saws to cut lumber according to work orders while helping lead and train a team to meet production goals. If you have strong mechanical skills leadership ability and a commitment to safety and qualitythis is a great opportunity for you.

Key Responsibilities

• Review work orders and determine required cuts
• Operate computer-controlled component saws using touch screen systems
• Set up and adjust saws including speed and feed rolls
• Monitor and guide lumber through the cutting process
• Coordinate workflow including picking staging stacking and loading materials
• Assign tasks and support team members to meet production goals
• Track production output and ensure efficiency
• Train new employees on equipment assembly processes and safety procedures

What Were Looking For

• 6 months of machine operation experience required
• 1 year of experience in lumber construction or related industry preferred
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Ability to identify lumber by species size and grade
• Basic math skills (addition subtraction multiplication division)
• Ability to follow instructions and work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to safety quality and productivity
• Leadership or training experience is a plus

Physical Requirements

• Regular standing reaching and use of hands
